Christine Weymouth
As one of our longest-serving employees, Christine brings more than 35 years of banking experience to our Cash Management team. Known for her exceptional service, analytical and problem-solving skills, Christine has a deep understanding of her customers’ needs and genuinely cares about their success. She holds a degree in business administration from Saint Joseph’s College and a degree in computer science from Andover College.
At GSB, decisions are made locally so Christine can provide her customers with solutions that make a direct, positive impact on their business. She believes that being a mutual savings bank allows us to better serve our customers.
Barbie Wilson
Barbie is a motivated and dedicated cash management expert determined to find solutions to help strengthen local businesses and, in turn, our communities. With over 20 years of banking experience, Barbie consistently exceeds customers’ expectations by helping them save time and money to run their business more efficiently. Through local decision-making, she’s able to provide her customers with immediate answers and solutions.
Previously, Barbie brought a wealth of knowledge to her role as branch manager of our Windham location.
Matthew White
Matt joined GSB in 2022 with over a decade of experience in commercial credit and relationship management at large regional banks. He enjoys serving as a trusted strategic advisor to his clients and adding value to their businesses with consulting and high-level planning. Matt believes what makes GSB unique is when an opportunity arises, we’re well-positioned to help our clients achieve their goals.
Matt attended the University of Southern Maine. He’s also a former Board member of the local American Red Cross chapter and coaches youth basketball, baseball and football in his community.
Nick Weightman
Nick joined GSB in January 2018 as a commercial loan officer. He was most recently vice president, commercial loan officer at a large regional bank where he worked with a variety of customers ranging from small family held businesses to publicly traded corporations.
Nick earned his Credit Risk Certification designation from The Risk Management Association. He attended the University of Cincinnati in Ohio for his Bachelor’s Degree in business administration and finance. Don’t be surprised by Nick’s accent, he grew up in Scotland but now calls Maine home.
Jessica Heath

Mike has been with GSB since 2004 in roles of increasing responsibility in our commercial banking department. Mike’s passion is building strong, interpersonal connections with businesses which benefit the whole Southern Maine community. To Mike, Banking Is Believing represents GSB’s efforts to develop proactive, meaningful relationships with our customers.
Mike holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Financial Accounting from the University of Maine at Augusta. He’s very active in the community and serves on committees for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Maine, Seventy-Five State Street, Avesta Housing, United Way of Greater Portland, and the Maine Marathon.
Jason Straetz
Jason has been with GSB since 2002 and has held a variety of roles ranging from regional branch manager to commercial loan administrator and credit analyst. As such, he has the experience and perspective to effectively help his customers meet their financing needs. Jason has worked extensively with operating companies and real estate investors. His particular passions are with residential real estate operators and dentists seeking to acquire or start their own practice.
Jason holds a Bachelor’s in Financial Economics from the University of Maine. Banking seems the perfect fit for Jason’s analytical and extroverted personality traits. He recommends GSB because of our competency and our will. We not only do our best, but we have the skill, technology and know-how to back it up. As with everyone at GSB, Jason is passionate about what he does.
Rick Proctor
Brian O’Coin
Brian brings a wealth of knowledge and more than 16 years of experience to our Commercial Banking team. Most recently at KeyBank, Brian has spent his career in commercial lending working with customers from small local businesses to regional middle-market companies across southern Maine.
He is skilled at building long-term, meaningful relationships with his customers, working tirelessly as their advocate and resource to help them achieve their goals. Brian believes a rising tide lifts all boats: when local businesses thrive, so does our community.
Brian holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Maine.
